MAKE A REFERRAL

If you’re coming to the AREN Network’s oncology specialists from a referring vet, it’s likely that we’ll seek additional imaging for an accurate and up-to-date understanding of your pet’s condition. As well as asking you about your pet’s symptoms, the timeframe in which they appeared and any medications they’re on, the vet will give your pet a physical examination.

Once they have the results of the latest imaging and tissue analysis, the next step is to ascertain the degree of the cancer and whether it has ‘metastasised’ or spread to other parts of their body. This is referred to as ‘staging’. From here, your vet can make their full diagnosis and recommend treatments based on the family’s wishes. Our specialist veterinary oncologists work with referring vets and clients to formulate the best diagnostic and treatment plans for their patients with careful consideration of individual needs and circumstances.
